This is the story people have heard throughout the ages; a precautionary tale that warns about the importance of keeping your promises. But what if that wasn’t the whole story? Harvey Drury spent the past fifteen years being blamed for the loss of the other Hamelin children and he saw no reason to change the town’s less-than-wholesome opinion of him. But after a “drunken” rant and an inflammatory newspaper article, Harvey finds himself thrust into the center of a scandal and the possible destruction of everything he knows. Now he and the reporter who put him on the road to ruin must redeem themselves by solving the fifteen-year-old mystery and finding the Hamelin children before it’s too late.
