'Guilty Pleasures' involves both a murder mystery and religion. And religion is like a murder mystery. I mean look at some famous hellfire scriptures like Malachi 4. 1, Matthew 25. 31-46, John 15. 6, 2 Thess 1. 8, Revelation 20. 12-15. I'm a Christian, so naturally I push the Christian scriptures. It's very important to not make a botch of things by making a stupid or satanic mistake with the Roman Catholic Church.
Case 1. The gates of hell have not prevailed against the Roman Catholic Church. Rome is God's True Church, the Church which Christ founded on a rock, Matthew 16. 13-19. Rome is the Bride of Christ, therefore Rome leads people to heaven.
Case 2. The gates of hell have prevailed against the Roman Catholic Church. Rome is not the Church which Christ founded on a rock. Rome is a false church not the True Church. Rome is not the Bride of Christ. Rome leads people away from heaven and to perdition.
Some say lots of different churches lead people to heaven. But a Church is either God's True Church or else it isn't. And if a church is not the True Church, not the Bride of Christ...
If a Catholic kid asks a Protestant minister if he, the kid, ought to renounce the Roman Catholic Church, the Protestant minister is caught in a bind. If he tells the kid to renounce Rome then the Catholic parents of the Catholic kid might show up at the Protestant minister's office. And they might yell nasty words at him, words like, 'keep away from our kid you evil satanic Protestant bastard!' But then if the Protestant minister tells the Catholic kid that he will go to heaven if he remains in the Roman Catholic Church, then he's telling the kid that Rome is the True Church, or at least part of the True Church, the Church which Christ founded on a rock, and it only stands to reason that if Rome is God's True Church then it is stupid to risk hell by rebelling against the Roman Catholic Church. If the Roman Catholic Church always leads people to heaven, because Rome is God's True Church, then it is idiotic to risk hell by rebelling against Rome. Lots of Protestants will insist that any Protestant minister who says it is idiotic to rebel against the Roman Catholic Church is a guy who is whacked out of his mind.
So, the Protestant minister adopts a strategy that aims to minimize the amount of abuse he takes. But he is supposed to be guiding people to heaven. He is not supposed to be overly worried about his public image.
He only has to focus on making the correct choice between 2 choices.
Case 1. Rome is God's True Church. Rome is the Bride of Christ. The gates of hell have not prevailed against the Roman Catholic Church. Rome leads people to heaven. So, if this Case 1 is true then it is right to always obey God's True Church, and it is stupid to risk hell by rebelling against God's True Church. So, if Rome is God's True Church then it's crazy and satanic to rebel against God's True Church by being a Protestant.
Case 2. Rome is not God's True Church. Rome is not the Bride of Christ. The gates of hell have prevailed against the Roman Catholic Church. Rome is lost in heresy. Rome leads people away from heaven and to perdition. Rome is a murderer of souls.
