Many people have been employed as journalist, news anchors, and gossip columnists. Mr. Reid and Mr. Bell invented one of the worlds greatest sources of communication, the telephone. Somebody is always calling to say, "Have you heard?" Someone is always looking and saying, "Did you see?" The tabloids in the supermarkets are a very visible source of questionable information. The most recent written talk of the nation in 1991, when I started to write this book, was the "Unauthorized Biography of Mrs. Nancy Reagan." Many people flew to the nearest bookstore and purchased a copy. This was an account of a person that was denied and declared pure fiction. However, there are always those whose curiosity becomes so overwhelming and uncontrollable they would do anything at any price to satisfy their quest to know. As I complete this book, it is now 1999. During the first part of 1998, every eye, ear, and mouth was aimed at President William Bill Clinton. Many times we are willing to accept partial truths and outright prevarication (be it partial or totally untrue, a lie is a lie). This is the reason for the title of this book, "Grapevine." I intend to discuss with you the news we are commissioned to "spread to all the nations," the good news of the gospel.
