Gooloo the Magpie, and the Wahroogah

Catherine "Katie" Langloh Parker (1856 – 1940) was born at Australia and lived in New South Wales. She is well-known for her recording the folk stories of the Aboriginal people. Her collection was one of the first attempts of researching Aboriginal people's folk, beliefs and short stories of north-west New South Wales. She is best known by her books such as “Australian Legendary Tales”, “Tales of the Dreamtime”, “Wise Women of the Dreamtime” and other.
The ancient legend will retail about a cryptic and wicked old woman that someday gave an advice to the wives of hunters. All men were going out for a hunting but after her advice in order to get more food women trusted her and departed with them. Old women promised to take care of young children but no one could predict that some terrible was going to happen. No steps, no sound, there was nothing. Only silence.
