Aroused was the constant state Dr. Michael Smith found himself in whenever he was within viewing distance of Dr. Taylor Jones. For fifteen years he’d been unable to figure it out. Luckily for him Taylor felt the same which enabled him to partially quench his thirst. His desire for Taylor went past the physical. He loved her, had been in love with her since he was seventeen. But he’d betrayed her and their love for a shot at a better future for the two of them. He’d set out to make a simple bargain which turned into blackmail. Part of the price was his silence. His secret turned into a decade and a half of lying to Taylor. Like any lie his had its consequences. He lost Taylor’s trust. Now the only thing she was willing to give him was her body.

Taylor Jones had a problem, one Dr. Michael Smith. They’d been friends, lovers and combatants. They’d gone to college, medical school and even modeled together. Though they’d tried and failed more than a dozen times to make it to the altar something always got in the way. Having a man tell you he wasn’t in love you and never had been could do that to a woman. You’d think that alone would have closed the door to their physical relationship. Think again. Taylor had a healthy sexual appetite and Michael was the only man who could appease it. Broken heart and all she was doomed when he touched her.

Wanting more, a family and commitment, the pair becomes determined to make things work outside the bedroom. Being control freaks one of them will need to give it up. Neither is willing. They set out to beat the odds aware that lies, betrayal, mistrust and blackmail are not the tools for a healthy relationship. Neither is one based on sex. Granted it’s great sex but they both need more.

Will they find what they need in time? They have an obstacle they’ve never faced before. Another man has fallen for Taylor. And Taylor…likes him.
