If you wish to go fast, go alone. But, if you wish to go far, go together - An African proverb
Every marriage is a unique journey of symbiosis and discovery by two individuals who are different from each other physically, emotionally and sometimes culturally. They believe they have sufficiently strong love and enough common interests for undertaking what they hope would turn out to be a lasting relationship if not companionship. A marriage is a partnership in which the qualities of the pair, individually and reciprocally, should be used to strengthen each other so as to produce mutually soothing harmony, similar to playing the white and black keys of a piano. Regardless of the factors that bond the pair together, each is still an individual with hopes and ambitions that both believe would ideally be better fulfilled in marriage than outside it.
This is not a handbook on marriage. However, it is full of practical ideas on searching for a suitable partner, sustaining a marriage and dealing with friction within the family. The guidelines, tips and clues in this book can help make this journey of life enjoyable and fulfilling in a world in which even the seasons are no longer predictable.
