Having experienced mental, physical and sexual abuse as a child from her mother and father respectively, Pendleton details the story of her search for love. Pendleton recounts her experiences with abuse, a subsequent cycle of dysfunctional romantic relationships, other unfortunate events and her ultimate redemption and triumph as she realizes that the love and acceptance of God is enough to lift her from a world of sadness. Most sexual offenders are acquainted with their victims. In fact, approximately 30% are relatives of the child. Pendleton hopes to inspire and liberate those facing similar life struggles, but more importantly intends encourage readers to break the silence surrounding child sexual abuse. Though children are often kept silent, Pendleton admonishes relatives and others to report incidents of child sexual if known or even suspected.
