From Jesus with Love is a basic introduction to relief missions. It will inspire those whose hearts are already motivated to help others. It will inform and interest those for whom this perspective is new. This material lays the foundation of the Biblical mandate for relief missions. It explains how to put our faith into action and suggests practical applications to care for those in need. The book may be used as a study for church groups, youth groups or as a resource for home school students or Christian schools.
From Jesus with Love is written by Don and Sondra Tipton, Founders and Directors of Friend Ships Unlimited with contributions from the Friend Ships leadership team. Friend Ships is a Christian humanitarian aid organization that has sailed ships throughout the world delivering relief supplies, carrying out disaster relief and conducting medical missions in North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, the former Soviet Union and the Middle East. The organization and its team work in the aftermath of hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and floods and in the course of wars, famines and extreme poverty. The book is based on extensive experience gained from twenty-six years of relief mission’s work around the world.
