Friends of Jesus

FRIENDS OF JESUS tells the fictional and metaphysical story of the crucial days immediately prior to the beginning of Jesus Christ's public ministry. It begins with Jesus' 29th birthday party and ends right before his baptism by John the Baptist at the Jordan River. FRIENDS OF JESUS brings to life familiar Bible characters such as Jesus of Nazareth, Mary Magdalene, John the Baptist, Simon Peter, Judas Iscariot, the Disciple John, and Mary, mother of Jesus. It also imagines those who would play key roles in Jesus' ministry and eventual crucifixion, including Pontius Pilate, the Jewish High Priest Caiaphas, and Roman Emperor Tiberius Caesar Augustus. FRIENDS OF JESUS details how all of these people and their relationships with Jesus influenced the events that conspired to change world history. It also presents a complex, conflicted and human side of Jesus. FRIENDS OF JESUS offers a new and thought provoking way of perceiving not only Jesus Christ but the friends--and enemies-- that surrounded him at a crucial moment in the birth of Christianity.
