FOUR FOLDS: PRIDE, PERSEVERANCE, PRINCIPLE, & PERCEPTION is a collection of flash fiction that attempts to connect to the reader’s soul. In “All that Matters”, Derrick, a prideful Marine, journeys across the desert of Southern California to make a date he’s promised to keep. However, a stoner and an overgrown bully may threaten his arrival. How will Derrick navigate egos to fulfill his promise?

At his wit's end, Derrick, a former Marine Officer comes home to find an unexpected package on his front porch. The contents of the parcel force him to deal with an explosion of memories and emotions. How will Derrick deal with his feelings? Will he persevere? Find out in the short story “For if they fall….”

Anthony and his long-time friend Kevin are debating the future. “Kevin’s New World” presents two sides to a falling coin: Anthony’s principles and Kevin’s ambitions. The outcome will change the world. On which side will the coin land?

Jealousy and anger spark as Kevin watches airline passengers from his concourse waiting area. When the plane takes off, Kevin and his partner Jason, are faced with a staunch reminder of what they perceive as conservative aggression. In “Turbulence,” Kevin confronts both his fear and his false perceptions.
