Even as these three fight their inner battles, imprisoned gods threaten to cross the breach. Under the rule of the Nine, the Tribunal’s armies march on the Vallum of Light, intent on destroying the Bastions to give the gods passage. Daemonic armies ravage entire cities to feed said gods, while transforming the populace into ravenous shadelings and wraiths.

Hope of survival lives within Ancel and his siblings. But can they walk the knife’s edge of harmony? The precipice between light and darkness? Between courage and fear? Life, itself, hangs in the balance.
