A collection of prayers offered by a new mother for her son. These prayers will lead you to a better understanding of what it means to take responsibility for a child who can be a reflection of God in the world.

For a mother, praying for a child is...
as natural as loving a child
as essential as feeding a child
as effective as cuddling a child
as necessary as protecting a child

Receiving the news that I was about to become a mother was awesome, and at the same time overwhelming. I had the usual concerns of protecting and providing for my child, but my first thought was how do I shape a KIND child. Essentially, I want to have a child who would be a person who would make the world a better place. Deep down, I suspect that is a wish of every mother.
