Following the Drum, the sequel to 'Three Years in Starch' is the story of forty years spent overseas. Cyprus in the aftermath of the EOKA uprising, Berlin at the height of the Cold War, Singapore when Saigon fell, Malta and much of West Germany. Interspersed with a few years in England in between. Nursing in most of these places, it was never my intention to spend most of my life in a war zone, I just happened to marry a man with the wanderlust.
