Fishing Around Britain: A Guide to the best fishing locations in Great Britain

Are you one of the thousands of Britons who have a passion for Britain's largest participation sport.

Fishing Around Britain is an e-book series aimed at the angler who wants to try a new location, or just get some tips about their local water.

As the reader is taken on a tour of the water, the places to fish, and where to avoid are highlighted. The book will also feature photos of these places, so they become easy to spot when you are there. The key details about directions, opening hours, cost and type of fishing are also included.

We hope that you enjoy this e-book and that you will look for other books in the range for your next trip.

New routes are being added all the time so keep an eye out for new ones as they appear. If you want to contribute a route, then email steve.caron@jmdmedia.co.uk with your idea and he will be in touch.

Foremark Reservoir is beautifully situated in the heart of the midlands, just to the east of the brewing capital of the world, Burton on Trent and is easily accessed from the countrys main arteries of the MI, A50 and the A38.

At just over 240 acres, it offers some of the best fly fishing available from both the banks and the boats.

Opening on 1st March, it is stocked almost every week with rainbow trout, some well into double-figures, and, in 2012, a smattering of brown trout, just to add a little bit of variation.

This guide is aimed at fly fishermen, giving hints and tips as to fishing from the banks and boats at one of the up and coming fisheries in the country. It will also tell you the best places to fish and also, let you know what it will cost.

THE AUTHOR

Alan Dawes is a confirmed fishing nut. He has been fishing for coarse, game or sea fish for most of his life and has been writing a weekly fishing column in the Burton Mail for the past 37 years (How mad is that!).

This ebook covers his love of game fishing. Living local to the reservoir, he knows more than most about the quirks and ways of such a fantastic piece of water.
