Feminist Bloggers: The 2014 Collection

Feminist Bloggers is a collection of twenty feminist essays by eight authors, covering a broad range of topics from feminism as a political label, to rape culture, to various perspectives on education. This volume also includes several pieces about how marketing addresses women and how mass media represent them. Every essay was originally published as part of a blog series hoping to generate a discussion about the topic at hand.

David B. Cox II is a librarian, a blogger, a husband, and a soon-to-be father. He lives in Juneau, Alaska where he enjoys gaming, writing, and most things geeky. He and his wife run the blog Comparative Geeks.

Diana J. Gordon is a nerd, a bookworm, a feminist, a mother, a worrier, a social media junkie, and an entrepreneur. She is the administrator of the blog Part Time Monster, and you can follow her on Twitter @parttimemonster. She lives in New Orleans with her son, her husband, and their rambunctious terrier.

Gene'O is a higher education professional, blogger, and social media organizer from the Southern U.S.A. His passions include speculative fiction, amateur photography, and the study of social movements. He is the founder and administrator of the blog Sourcerer and tweets @Sourcererblog.

Gretchen Kelly blogs at Drifting Through My Open Mind where she writes about anything that pops into her head. From life lessons to burning issues that need to be discussed to parenting conundrums. The topics she is most passionate about are feminism, race, and any issues that pertain to social justice, fairness and equality. In addition to her blog, she is also a member of The Sisterwives blog and is working on her first novel. She tweets @gkelly73.

Hannah Givens is a history and political science student in Alabama. She writes about history, pop culture, and her novel-in-progress on her blog, Things Matter.

Leah Zoller is a queer woman living in the Pacific Northwest after working in Japan for several years. She has a two-track mind: food and gender, and thus writes about both, often at the same time. Find her at The Lobster Dance for discussions of gender, geekery and Japanese media and at I'll Make It Myself! for fandom cakes, food through the lens of gender, and a tendency to focus on breakfast recipes.

Natacha Guyot is a French author, scholar and public speaker. She works on Science Fiction, Transmedia, Gender Studies, Children Media and Fan Studies. Besides her nonfiction work, she is currently working on a Fantasy short story series.
