Stories of fantastic mind travels and mystical experiences of body and soul. In 'Actress and Artist' a young artist falls in love with two women, who inspire his paintings by playacting their roles. Together they escape the daily humdrum finding new aspects of creative expressions for their arts. The story of 'The Spirit of the Flame Tree' begins with Zeno arriving on a forlorn beach in the south-east of Crete. In his dream Yrto the spirit of Myrto, a woman he met before, takes him on a hike into a mountainous gorge. Arriving at a high village square, he meets Myrto, the woman from the Flame Tree. Her food spiced from its fruit causes a fire in him and with her open sexuality she draws him immediately into her ban.
