Have you ever fantasised about what could happen if your favourite Movie Star replied to your fan mail?

Sydney-based, Emma Davenport is a confident, normal hard working 18 year student just completing her final year at High School. Having recently broken up with her first serious boyfriend Mark, her life is about her family and friends and the sensible future she has mapped out ahead of her, with University on the horizon. One day, when she should be studying, driven by a compulsion she can’t quite reconcile, she sends a fan mail letter to her favourite Hollywood movie star.

James Tyler, a 22 year old British actor now living in Los Angeles for his work, is the latest hottest, sexist movie star around. With a quiet and reserved demeanour he finds the paparazzi attention now shown him scary, life in Hollywood lonely and only just bearable because of his love of acting and the presence of his best friend Damien, who now works as his personal assistant.

As Emma’s fan mail letter appeared ‘normal’ (that is no marriage proposal, underwear or locks of hair enclosed) James reads it himself and is immediately drawn to its author. On a whim he sends her an email. It is a decision that changes both of their lives forever.

Emma's tentative reply soon leads to a secret online romance with the man of her dreams.

James plans a surprise meeting and that’s when things really become interesting. That they live completely different lives on opposite sides of the world seems to be a major stumbling block in their budding romance but when you throw in the ever present threat of the paparazzi and the fact that Damien hates Emma and that her ex-boyfriend Mark will do anything to have her back it seems extremely unlikely that they ever stand a chance at happiness.
