Murat, a young Turkish immigrant boy whose parents die in an automobile accident in England after their arrival, is adopted by a British family and grows to become a successful businessman as a proper British subject. But when he marries a typical English lady, he yearns to have a family. His career-minded wife agrees to have one child only. But Murat wants a large family with more children. Unknown to himself, Murat’s head is totally British but his heart is Turkish. This creates conflict in the marriage and leads to discussions of separation. He decides to take time for consideration of such a serious decision and takes a trip to search for his roots, to his village of birth in Turkey. He takes his young son Robert (6 yrs) with him to introduce him to his heritage. What transpires next is the stuff of drama with infusion of some comic situations. The meaning of family and its values are rediscovered by father and son.
