Ellie finds that she wants to continue to focus her time on her art career. Her parents died from complications with a virus before she could finish school. She is introduced to Lin who becomes her husband. Like Ellie he has his law career that he spends time with. Lin uses his parents knowledge of art to stay a part of Ellie's life even after their separation. He convinces her to remain married.
