Prologue:

I look around, and all I can see is darkness. The moon provides me with enough light to see that I’m in the centre of a massive field, that seems to be vacant. I try to remember where I am, or how I got here, but I have no luck. I take a few steps forward, struggling to see ahead of me. The darkness that surrounds me threatens to swallow me whole, with no chance of escaping. Suddenly, I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around quickly, to see a dark figure approaching me. I freeze, not knowing where to hide. I can sense that whatever it is, is bad. I can feel the negative energy, eating away at me. The figure walks right by me, seeming to look right through me. Can they see me? The figure makes an abrupt stop, a few feet away from me. It seems to be human, wearing all black, with something covering its face. Just as quickly as the first figure appeared, another one appears, seeming to have come out of mid-air. As soon as I acknowledge his presence, I suddenly calm down. I’m not scared anymore.
“Give me what I want,” the first one says to the figure that just arrived, demanding something. I know that voice, it’s a male. I’ve heard it before, but where?
“No. She’s not yours,” the second boy responds calmly. They know each other; I can feel the tension between the two.
“Then I’ll get her for myself,” he says. Where do I know that voice from?
“You will not. I will ensure that that doesn’t happen,” the second boy says, and I feel calm again. For some reason, I feel like they’re talking about me, even though I’m sure they don't know I’m here. The first boy raises his right hand, with his palm facing the other boy. I can feel that negative energy again, and it’s getting worse. The wind picks up, throwing my hair all over my face. The boy with his hand up starts saying something, almost chanting it. I can’t make out the words, with the tempestuous wind blowing heavily in my ears. I feel like I’m spinning. The evil boy starts screaming. It’s so loud, that it hurts. Everything starts spinning even faster, and the boy’s screams become more furious. I can feel the power that is within him. Suddenly, he stomps his foot on the ground with such force, that the other boy goes flying backwards.
My eyes shoot open. I’m lying on my bed, with sweat dripping down my forehead and my heart beating so loud, it sounds like there’s a drum in my chest. It was just a dream. My hands are clenched onto my blankets so hard, that my fingers are turning red. I slowly release my hands, and slow down my breathing. I turn my head to see the clock sitting on my night table. The bright red numbers indicate that it’s early in the morning. I look out my window, and look at the moon. That felt so real. I can still feel the coolness of the wind on my cheeks, and the power that the first boy had. Before I know it, I’ve drifted off into a deep sleep once again.
