Faces of Eli is specifically a therapeutic, fun children’s book that will take the reader into the magical portal of his own personal mirror, into the daily life of Eli. Eli is a seven-year-old boy who has trouble expressing his feelings through his facial features as well as body postures. He needs the help of the reader. He asks the reader to help him through the magical mirror. In every scenario, Eli is trying to purchase his favorite ice cream on his own, but he is unsuccessful; so unless the reader helps him express the specific feelings, Eli cannot move on to the next feeling. At the end of his adventure, because of the modeling of the reader, Eli has discovered his facial expressions using the five basic human emotions shown in each situation. So both the reader and Eli have discovered their personal feelings for ice cream.
