Eyes of the Hunter

Joseph Mukabi is a 14-year-old boy in the fabled East African city of Mombasa. Blind from early childhood, he dreams of hunting lions and other dangerous big game the way his grandfather, Old Sam, a former professional hunter, did years ago. When Joseph’s family presents him with a special birthday present – an African Grey parrot – he is thrilled. Soon, however, he discovers that this bird is far more than he appears, and carries an astonishing secret that will change the lives of Joseph and his family forever.
