My goal for you is Financial Freedom.
Financial Freedom means many different things to each of us. For some, it is scary because it takes us out of our comfort zone, while others love to stretch that zone.
You must define that place where you are the most happy.
One of my favorite chapters is “MAKE YOUR MISTAKES QUICKLY.” This idea came about when I was faced with the realization that I had made a big mistake.
I discovered this when I went back to work for a former employer after a bad business break-up. It was a hard time for me, so I sought the shelter of the known, rather than face another unknown.
I found that my old “new” employer was not going to give me the opportunity to make more money by making more sales. I realized quickly that I was wasting my time and talent by staying at this dead-end job, so I changed employment and changed my income and my life.
It was there that I met a person who, for the next twenty years, made a huge difference in my personal and financial career.
If you take your current “unhappy” situation and extent it forward to the next ten or so years, do you want to be stressed for this long a time, missing all the potential joy that could be yours?
Short term pain for long term gain.
This is related to time, time management, and how much time you have to give to a lost cause.
A lost cause can be marriage, partnership, jobs, friends or anything that is clearly not working.
This is very difficult, but must be done if you are to realize the great things that can happen to you without the anchor around your neck weighing you down and depressing your moods and actions.
Everyday Strategies for Financial Freedom can help you make the decisions you need to get on the right track in your life.
