The sparks fly immediately and soon blossom into passionate love as the two take on together Sheila's haunted past. Together they conquer the obstacles but then find their themselves in a position with no way out but to run. On the west coast of southern Mexico they find what seems to be the perfect hideout in the tiny town of Puerto Escondido until the outlaw state of Oaxaca presents dangers that are more perilous than the ones they left behind. Only with the help of friends and ironically enough their pursuers and they able to escape the dangers only to find that the return home will be bittersweet as the hurricane of the century has just wiped out their livelihood. Together with the help of their friends they begin to build life anew and return to the task of living together in paradise.
