DuOPolis is unconventional speculative fiction about three young "gangs" living in the same area in alternate times. By an aberration in Time they meet unexpectedly in the 21st century neighborhood of FivePoints and engage with one another to untie the knot of Time. These teenagers are from circa Anno Domini 1769, 1900 A.D. and 2017 CE; displaced inadvertent time-travelers trying to get "home" again. Both Time and Place are necessary. Place alone cannot make them a home.

Third in the series after Five Points Akropolis and SiXPointz HiTopOLis, DuOPolis is set in an alternate universe. DuOPolis is time-transfer science-fiction for readers who enjoy a complex story, creatively told. The well-defined teenager characters are not complex but savvy, often funny. These 2017 time travelers' reappearance have mystified adult friends (with various job-related roles; adults and roles both play key parts in the narrative. The book is for any reader interested in following a fun, lively, and intricate time-traveler—gently (and sometimes powerfully) told. There are apocalyptic allusions in this story.

S. Dorman is also the author of Maine Metaphor, The God's Cycle, Gott'im's Monster and Fantastic Travelogue: Mark Twain and CS Lewis Talk Things over in The Hereafter.
