As Dean Chesterfield is growing up, he believes he is just another ordinary kid an an ordinary world. Both of these assumptions are wrong. On his 14th birthday, Dean learns two things. One, that his parents vanished under very mysterious circumstances, and no one is sure where they are. Two, that the world is not as ordinary as it seems. Demons, angels, and other powers walk the world, unseen by normal eyes. But even as he despairs of ever seeing his parents again, his foster father reveals that he has powers too!
