Dreamscapes is a series of 12 short stories capturing Astra Crompton's real dreaming experiences. Each short story aims to recapture the visual presentation of the dream through different narration styles and points of view. There is no running theme between them, aside from a varying component of fantasy. All will be collected in a print volume due out December 2012.

One Dreamscapes story will be epublished on the 7th of each month of 2012. July's offering is a old-fashioned tale of truth, loyalty and belief in something greater than oneself entitled "Garden in the Sands".

In "Garden in the Sands" a tutor is called to step outside her timid world when confronted by the truth being withheld from the populace. Together with a small band of rebels they embark on a journey to unearth the past. While set in a futuristic desert world, it still retains the old-fashioned flavour of the Old West, 1800s romantic novels and classic adventures.
