Timmy and Tzetzlan have a long-term relationship that extends over decades. It is a violent association between hunter and prey that begins in the Mogollon Rim country of Arizona that doesn’t reach resolution until a final meeting beneath the ground in Denver, Colorado. The years and miles between first and last meetings bring both antagonists more than a little isolation, but events have made it impossible they should not have a final showdown.
At the depth of his isolation, what little is left of the Timmy buried deeply in a mental shell of his own making. When Kim awakens his interest in the surrounding world she also awakens a hate so intense that little can stand in its way.
The death of Kim’s father gives focus to that hate and so the hunt begins. A hesitant chase across the mountains of Colorado following in the wake of a string of horrific killings.
Tzetzlan meanwhile has discovered revenge, a concept not known before, and instead of killing for sustenance it now kills for a more insidious purpose.
Tracking the slow-motion killer requires tests of belief and patience for all those involved, and for some results in the discovery of hidden abilities.
