If you ever wanted to know what the real age of innocence was like for those who lived it, this is the medium for you. The world has a warped view of the South in the l950s. The clop clop of a horse or mule is something that I miss hearing, and I am saddened to realize that most of todays youth will never hear that sound as a part of their everyday lives. Today, when someone passes by, the only sounds are the thumping of a ridiculous sound system or the whining speed of a Ninja cycle. Traveling speeds now preclude any interaction between neighbors; we are more concerned with getting there than making small talk with neighbors.
