Gunnar Kyle has just stepped off the VAC battlefield with nothing left to live for in her eyes. Algernon is gone, taken by the Thaumatures, a dangerous coven of witches. So a few headless corpses is just the distraction she needs to keep her mind focused and sharp. With a hard pressed deadline to solve whomever it is that's sending her heads as personal gifts, and save Algernon, Gunnar must once again step into the land of the Egyptian Gods to sign a harrowing deal, one that might cost her the only item left that she values... her soul.
