 We have all had times in our lives, when as human beings, we want to alleviate pain and suffering from someone we knew and loved or heal them with a simple touch.

Police, Firefighters, and Professional Soldiers have numerous episodes throughout their professional and public safety lives when this occurs, but what happens when it's the Firefighter, Cop, or Soldier that find themselves needing that life renewing touch?

In this story, Det. Greg Haller is shot during the course of an armed robbery in the Washington DC suburbs and finds himself internally begging for his life. He has a loving wife and twin girls and needs to live. Something happens to him that can't be explained and he heals his own wounds. After returning to duty, he pursues his attackers to the bitter end, but is still capable of helping and healing his fellow man when and wherever he can.
