Memories, according to the majority of dictionaries, are a portion of what is stored in an individual’s brain. Memories can either be good or bad depending on the circumstances that surround their meaning to the individual. Adults are remembered during their viewing at funeral homes today with pictures of their lives. Family and friends gather around to watch and celebrate the deceased individuals’ life, and the pictures contain the essence of the memories that were left to be cherished. Dawgs is a memorial to such a life event. One became two, two became four, four became six, and for nearly twenty years, memories were made. Playing, protecting, entertaining, and lastly, leaving a broken heart on the master behind and the material that this book describes. Dawgs is a lasting memorial that records the events that culminated in six wonderful black, white, and tan Jack Russell terriers left behind. As their individual memorials state, your tiny paw prints left an impression on our hearts. I hope you enjoy reading this adventure that has left a lasting memory in my heart.
