From the "Introduction"
The human journey through life is supposed to be a deliberate adventure on a road leading to somewhere significant. Unfortunately, many have embarked on this road with no vision, decision, or action plan, and yet they hope and wish to find some luck or miracle waiting for them somewhere along the way, which will take them from obscurity to limelight. I feel sorry for such people because the truth is miracles don't just happen unless and until we exhaust our human ability. According to William J. Bryan, he wrote "Destiny is not a matter of chance, but rather a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, but a thing to be achieved” and I quite agree with him.
Countless numbers of people have come and gone without initiating any change or contributing any meaningful thing to humanity. All that was said concerning them was that they were born, they lived and then died. But why? It is simply because they died with their songs unsung, their books unwritten, their gifts and talents uncelebrated--what a tragedy. Their inborn treasures that could have enriched their own life bless humanity and cause their name to be written in gold waste away...it was buried with them.
“The best use of life is to
spend it for something that outlasts life.”
~ William James
Everyone wants to excel and be celebrated in life; however not many of us are willing and ready to pay the price in order to get the prize. That you have a talent does not mean you should just sit back and expect that everything will just turn around for you one morning and people will begin to see you as a celebrity. No! It will require that you painstakingly develop your talent and skills to a certain level where you can use it to solve specific problems for individuals and the larger society. According to God's plan, none of us is destined to live a life of poverty, confusion or regrets but rather a life of satisfaction, fulfilment and plenty. It will be a big mistake on your part, if you die without achieving the purpose for which you were born. All that you would ever need to become the best you can possibly be has already been placed within reach. The answer that you seek is closer to you than you ever know. Dig deep within you and right there you will discover the power to create a future as bright as the sun.
One major reason many are still poor, confused or unfulfilled today is that they are still ignorant about their identity; they are not yet aligned with their inner-self; their talent is yet to gain outward expression. Maybe you are going through the same dilemma and you feel like asking, "What can I do to become my true self?" My answer is, search your heart to discover you, then develop you and do all you can to project you until you become relevant in your sphere of influence.
“Hide not your talents; they are for use.
Of what use is a sun dial in a shade?”
~ Benjamin Franklin
To know who you are and why you are here on earth is a serious task, which must not be taken with levity except you want to live below your potential. I urge you to seize this moment, make a wise decision to follow your own path of destiny for you to truly become the person you were created to be; live the life you were meant to live; and achieve the success that your heart never imagine. The road ahead may seem rough and tough, but in the end, a new you will emerge with smiles on your face knowing that you have made the right choice. God has given every man a creative license to be innovative; it is up to you to be able to determine what innovations you need in other to improve your life and that of other men. Don't allow this great moment pass you by!
