Coombs journey began with his vision as a teenager and continued to Waxie-Maxie Music Store, then to Schwartz Brothers Wholesale Distributors, from there to Chicago to work for Ramsey Lewis. He worked for CBS Records, Capitol Records, Ray Charles, Philadelphia International Records. After leaving PIR he with partners Eddie Levert, Sr and Walter Williams, both of the O'Jays started and guided the career of LeVert. The life experiences, the good times, the bad times, the lessons learned the joy and the pain of Coombs journey in relived in his own words.
