I have decided to go by the pen name Cliche because I have always loved to go against the grind and push peoples buttons. I have always been considered a rebel with a cause that has never been afraid to piss people off. The purpose of Cliche Speaks On... is to touch on political/social, emotional and spiritual issues people are afraid to talk about because I feel if I dont talk about them then nobody will.

Anthony Cheek was born August 1981 in Manhattan, NY to Lynne Douglas and Wilbur Cheek. He has lived in NJ, PA and at the age of 8 he moved to Maryland with his mother and sister Natasha Cheek. He lost his father to Cancer when he was 27 years old.

He started writing poems, stories and plays at the age of 17 while he attended Chesapeake High School. He took a Creative Writing class and Journalism while he attended Chesapeake High School. He attended 2 semesters at Baltimore City Community College where he was the Entertainment reporter for the BCCC newsletter The Crier. He self published his first poetry book at Office Depot at the age of 26.

His favorite TV show is TNA iMPACT, his favorite wrestler is John Cena, his favorite music genre is Hip Hop, his favorite color is blood red, his favorite sport is Pro Wrestling, his favorite poet is Native Son and his inspiration to write is Eminem.
