The city in Exile has slept for a time longer than anyone can remember. Only now do denizens of the world once again walk it, unsure and afraid of what the future holds for them. They are put in place, and have their memories stolen from them to keep them there, all while the merciless crawl of time drags them ever closer to their fates.

A vast empty city begins filling with people only now, after so long long waiting in the quiet. Energies course through the earth and up into the air, but in so secluded a place could the denizens of the city ever hope to escape, regain their lives and memories, and escape the dangers involved in doing so once and for all? All was silent, their daily lives uninterrupted, but only now are dark things beginning to rise just below the calm water’s surface.

Prairie never doubted there was a way out, and searches day in and out between her duties in the city. But what remains outside when she finally reaches what she’s hoping for? True freedom, or even greater danger? She will end up discovering more than expected, and all of her friends will be thrust into a fate as yet unheard of while the darkness ravages her beloved home. Could you say you would do the same? The city in exile has finally awoken.
