This pattern knits a wonderfully thick and warm slouch beret type hat.. Instructions come complete with description of how to knit the beret point ! In addition, the pattern includes instructions on how to knit a matching scarf.

This hat has been created in a regular size as well as a larger size, in order to accommodate someone with long or otherwise voluminous hair who wishes to place it inside the hat. In both hats, the band stretches well, but still grips.

Things to know about this pattern:

Skill level: Advanced beginner. This hat requires extremely basic knitting skills. The only complicated factors relate to slipping and picking up stitches. There is also a three needle bind-off needed at the end. The scarf requires only basic knitting skills

Size: Fits to hat size 22 (or for the larger hat 23)

Supplies Required:

Size 10 needles (can be straight and/or 16 inch circular) or one set Size 10 DPN

Size 10 or 11 short needle or DPN to help in 3 needle bind off and final hat band bind off

Place marker

Tapestry Needle

One skein of Super Saver Red Heart Yarn is enough to complete this hat. Another one will complete the scarf.
