Changing Worlds

An autobiographical-cum-philosophical novel by John O'Loughlin (his first!), in which a bored and disillusioned young West End music clerk fantasizes about and then actually determines to become a writer, come what may, despite a variety of environmental, social, financial and other disadvantages which make it an altogether more complicated fantasy to realize than he had initially expected! Nevertheless, Michael's determination is what drives him on or, as some would argue, over the cliff into a 'changed world' where he must sink before he can swim and whose depth is way beyond his initial expectations. 'Changing Worlds' was John O'Loughlin's first full-time literary commitment, and the reader must judge for himself as to whether or not the change was for the better.
