If they had left it at that, they never would have been found out, but Jack’s connection to the Russian mob forces them to keep chasing the money. They are not detectives so doing their own detective work to find the money only gets them deeper into the malaise. Finally, the law discovers who they are but they are clever enough to stay out of the grasp of the sheriff. Finally, they cut a deal with law enforcement and all three live to challenge another day.
