I could tell my Kindred was nearby. I felt Manticores nearby and somehow knew she was with them. I approached their camp quietly and tried to get a fix on where in the camp my Spirit Kindred was located. I could not visually see her anywhere in the camp. I took a deep breath through my nose and was immediately able to identify the smell that was my Kindred Spirit. She had the most amazing smell. It reminded me of pumpkin pie and Christmas. I sniffed again and picked up the underlying feline smell and realized that she too must be a Manticore.

I thought perhaps if I ethereal travelled I might have better luck finding her so I sat in silence on the edge of the camp and allowed myself to part with my body. I moved through the camp and entered caves and homes in search of my Kindred Spirit. I went from shelter to shelter and she was nowhere to be found. I called to her spirit but got no response. I felt myself becoming full of rage and fear. No, I could not have lost her again. She should be here. I used my speed to my advantage and began to run at the top speed through the rest of the camp.

I checked all households except the Clowder generals. I ran through the entrance of the general’s cave and was appalled and enraged at the sight before me. My beautiful Kindred was staked bare assed and spread eagle to the ground. All her feminine charms exposed before me. There was a small amount of blood on her thigh and I could tell she had been recently used very roughly. The Clowder general was sleeping comfortably on his bed without worrying about my Kindred Spirits welfare or comfort. I reached out and touched her cheek and felt the moisture from her tears that had not yet dried, and I knew she recently cried. I screamed with rage, I knew it was my fault. I sped back to my body. I going to kill everyone that touched her. I would punish them and save my Kindred Spirit so that she would never be hurt again.
