Here is the story of Cuthbert Bourbon-Cream, a privileged young man who sails alone from England to Rio de Janeiro in the 1950's. His mission is to take over the Brazilian operations of his family's sugar empire. He throws himself upon the task with gusto and delves into the deep underbelly of 'Carioca' (local Rio) life, unearthing a wealth of inexplicable mysteries.

As heir to a vast fortune he has several responsibilities to take care of but, grieving the death of someone close and tempted by endless distractions he somewhat misbehaves, opting to run wild on his own adventure.

After a little orientation he discovers that a greater, more difficult global challenge stares him in the face, one that only he can resolve. He is adamant about the need to confront this demon, but does he manage to return to Europe in time to persuade the world to believe his findings?

Half the author's royalties will be donated to charitable causes in Brazil.

Coming soon in Portuguese.
