In April of 2006 I sat in a not smokey bar talking to a friend of mine about politics. It was not smokey because the freedom to smoke in the bar was removed not by the business owner, but by the government. That doesn't do much for setting a scene now, does it? That was just a small sign that we are no longer free in this country. Anyway, I realized at the time that something was wrong with our system. I decided I needed to do something to try to change things. I wanted to see an America that was as it was supposed to be, an America that celebrates individual freedom rather than suppresses it. I wanted to try to point out to people the fallacy in their thinking when they believe we are already free. I wanted to point out to the masses that they were really slaves so that they can reach for freedom. I wanted to become an abolitionist. This book is a result of those efforts.
