Buena Vista is a coming of age story about a young girl’s deep love for her horse, and the lengths she’ll go to in order to save him from certain death.

Chelsea Winters is a shy 15-year-old in rural Colorado with a relatively normal life, but when she saves fifteen horses from a barn fire, she is suddenly thrust into the spotlight and dubbed a hero. Despite this, Chelsea is horrified when she discovers that her beloved horse, Chipper, is one of a small handful of horses that are still missing. In the mountains of Colorado, winter comes quickly, and Chelsea knows that Chipper’s chance at life will run out soon, so she has to juggle fame and scrutiny with her plan to find him at any cost. Will she find him before he perishes in the unforgiving mountain wilderness?

Buena Vista is a unique story of survival, both in the wilderness and society, that is a portrait of small town America, and a regular girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances.
