Bore of the Barrel

When Ty Connell takes down a gang banger in a back alley incident, he pulls a fully automatic weapon from his back belt. But it turns out to be no ordinary weapon. It is unregistered and untraceable. It has no manufacture stamps and no markings of any kind. And most chilling? It has a replaceable barrel. It can be used and fired for any amount of time, then the barrel unscrewed and simply tossed away and the weapon re-used anew. Untraceable! A policeman's nightmare.

But it's too perfect to be home made. Connell then sees in the daily flash reports an item about other such weapons popping up in other cities and he knows that something big is going on. And it all seems to be coming from his own backyard -- somewhere in the GBA, the Greater Boston Area. He's determined to find out where.

When Connell set out to find the source of these mystery weapons the trail leads to an ending both shocking and tragic.
