He awakens to a technically advanced but poorly educated and hedonistic society governed, as a for-profit business, by a middle-eastern energy cartel. Determined to prod the country to renewed greatness, he finds himself in the crosshairs of government, industry and religious interests.

The fourth episode of Scow Truck, written for students to perform as part of a media production class, finds the Scow Ship Second Prize ordered to an asteroid known as "The Wart" to explore it as a possible garbage dump. Crock inadvertently proposes marriage to a beautiful native girl and the ensuing mayem is reminiscent of a Laurel and Hardy comedy.

Pearls of Wisdom is an allegory describing a race of tunnel digging creatures on a remote planet. One of them digs through the ice overhead and discovers a universe outside. His is disbelieved, executed as a heretic and his findings suppressed. Meanwhile a probe surveys the planet and sends data to earth indicating that the planet is incapable of supporting life.

"This, I believe" is a tiptoe through the major books of the Old and New Testaments. The author, trained in scientific discipline and raised by parents with radically opposing views of Jesus concludes, after many years of study, that many of the incredible stories contained in the Holy Bible...
