The first volume in a series, Tales of Spot, is a short story about a mutt dog named Spot, whose antics sometimes get her into lots of trouble. While she seems very laid back, there's no telling what she is thinking behind that doggie smile. Always up to something, she works her way into the heart of everyone she meets.

Spot has already made friends with the postman and helps him deliver on his rounds but when she moves with her family to the suburbs of Atlanta she is in for a whole new life. She runs in Kennesaw Battlefield Park and she develops an appetite for the neighbor's chickens. Luckily her new pal Abigail is on the lookout for her!

Horace and Gregory set out to the fall festival as is the custom in their island kingdom. As part of the show, Horace wins a door prize, an old traveling trunk which is delivered to his cottage the next day. When Gregory uses the trunk to clear away some blankets and magazines they magically disappear....
