In this book, I am describing a happy year that I spent at Hope House, New Orleans, helping needy people and, as such, also the community. The year that I spent working there was full of experiences that enriched my life in several ways, and also made me feel good about my work for others. I also found a renewed love for New Orleans, a city that had formed my life for the past 43 years.
