Early Works volume 1 is the first of a series collecting political cartoons, advertisements, and various images drawn by Geisel long before he had written any of his world famous books.

Dr Seuss was a contributor to the iconoclastic and anti-fascist "Judge" magazine and helped the war effort by drawing instructional pamphlets and war bond ads as well as collaborating with Chuck Jones of "Loony Toons" fame to produce training films for the soldiers.
