The article discusses state obligations in the context of counter-terrorism operations, with particular focus on the human rights obligations of third states offering assistance in counter-terrorism operations, in the light of the judgments rendered by the European Court of Human Rights in the cases of Al Nashiri and Husayn (Abu Zubaydah) v. Poland and Nasr and Ghali v. Italy.
