This book contains four fictional pieces, each touching on some aspect of sin and our relationship with God. The first story deals with the painful issue of suicide. The second reflects on the problems of anger and resentment. The third envisions an attempt to renew the Catholic Church. The fourth is a short meditation on using our gifts.

During the hours He spent on the cross, Jesus is recorded as making seven statements. Traditionally, these statements are known as the Seven Last Words. This book offers a meditation on each of these statements and relates them to other important moments in the Bible. This book is meant as an invitation to the reader to ponder these final messages of Jesus to His followers.

There are many ideas and images which can be found in different parts of the Bible. These themes connect the various parts of the scriptures. This is one of the ways in which the unity of this Bible is exemplified. In addition, these common themes can be understood more deeply if we begin to realize how the themes are developed and presented in different parts of the Bible.

This is a collection of essays. Most touch in some way on the teachings, practices and leadership of the Catholic Church. The essays address a wide variety of subjects, from Environmentalism to Eschatology. They are presented here for your entertainment, inspiration and education.
